"HMM-363 Squadron Photo 1968" Taken aboard the USS Iwo Jima in FEB 1968. The C.O., Col Frankie Allgood (seated left front) was later killed in action on March 26, 1968.My thanks to Dewey Steele for giving this picture to Guy Lewis (both former HMM-363 members) who in turn gave it to me. We have been able to identify some of the people here, can anyone find Secretary Buz "Tailwind" Shantry?

C.O. is LtCol Frank Allgood seated front and center eighth from the left in the front row is Lt Wickersham, Cpl Alan Fish in short sleeves is in the forth row ( first row standing) 16th from the left, to his right is CPL Hiram Hogg. SSGT Bob Morley is up against the aircraft 8 from the left with a big smile and a clean white t shirt. I believe SGGTs Powell and PAPPY POPE (hand on hoist) are next to each other, George T. Curtis 6th from the right ,next to the Marine with his head looking to the rear . He is joking with Cpl John Wiseman ( KIA 23 April 68 ).  The tall broad shouldered marine with no cover and long dark hair in front of the cabin door is CPL Peterson.
